Insurance
Infinity Wireless has a program which allows
you to insure your cell phone or smart phone against loss,
damage, or theft.
Handset Protection
We will replace your phone with a comparable new unit in the
event of loss, theft, or damage beyond repair not covered
by the manufacturer. There can be no more than two (2) claims
per twelve-month period filed.
Insurance Fees
The fees for insurance protection for non PDA cell phones
is $6.95 monthly, plus a $75.00 deductible in the case of
a claim. Fees for PDA/smart phones is $9.95 monthly, plus
a $200.00 deductible in the case of a claim
30 Day Waiting Period
Coverage is subject to a 30 day waiting period. If there is
a claim within the 30 day waiting period, the deductible will
be $150 for a Non PDA and $400 for a PDA/smart phone. A non-refundable
deductible will be collected for each authorized claim. Policy
is not transferable.
Notification
You must notify Infinity Wireless to suspend service in the
event of loss or theft. All claims must be filed within 30
days of incident. Infinity will notify you of information
you must supply. Report any theft to the police and obtain
a police report case number.
Insurance Contract Details
(1)Loss does not include loss as a result of governmental
including but not limited to seizure or confiscation. (2)Damage
beyond repair does not include damage by war (declared or
undeclared), act of God, terrorism, radiation, faulty or defective
design or manufacture, or as a result of using the phone in
a manner for which it was not intended or designed, voluntary
parting with equipment, technological obsolescence, intentional,
dishonest, or criminal acts, changes in color, texture finish,
expansion or contraction, or any cosmetic damage, normal wear
and tear. (3)Handset protection is automatically terminated
after the second claim in a twelve month period is made, and
you may not reapply for one full year thereafter. You are
responsible for the payment of all premiums, per the terms
of the agreement, listed on your monthly bill from Infinity
Wireless. The handset protection is continuous until canceled
unless you cease to be a valid, active, and current customer
of Infinity Wireless or the applicable monthly charge is not
paid. You may cancel this program by mailing in advance written
notice stating when such cancellation is effective. Claims
reported that occur during a period of suspension from Infinity
Wireless, other than suspension related to claims, are not
covered until your account with Infinity Wireless is brought
to active and current status. Claims reported that occur following
termination of service from Infinity Wireless are not covered
by this program.
